John C. Pearson (d. 1963) was the grandson of Orren and Sarah M. Perkins whose hobby was collecting autographs. The collection consists of miscellaneous printed items and over 100 letters and autographs of famous persons, including James Fenimore Cooper, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Edwin Booth.
